The impact of experiencing sexual violence against women in Sidoarjo city

Cases of sexual violence are increasingly widespread and alarming in the era globalization. Sexual is common among women has reached epidemic levels, affecting more than a third worldwide. The problems consequences can lead to various conditions that interfere with women's mental physical health. purpose this study identify impact experienced by after experiencing violence. research method used was qualitative phenomenological approach. conducted for three months (February-April 2023) Sidoarjo City, East Java. Data collection techniques in-depth interviews obtained from 8 informants, including female victims Regional Technical Implementation Unit Protection Women Children (UPTD PPA) City. data analysis technique thematic consisting identifying, analyzing, reporting patterns (themes) found presenting them detail thoroughly. results showed caused experience unsafe abortion, unwanted pregnancy, bipolar, anxiety fear disorders, sleep symptoms psychosis, self-harm, negative behavioral changes such as suicide attempts, smoking drinking behavior, intercourse habits. Meanwhile, positive include getting closer God, trying be productive, evaluating improving themselves.
